We’ve told you about Once. We posted the movie poster a couple days ago, and the production photos and indie trailer the week before that. Fox Searchlight has finally released the official movie trailer, complete with critic quo-tables. It’s funny how the finished studio edit looks so much more professional than the independent cut.
A modern day musical set on the streets of Dublin. Featuring Glen Hansard and his Irish band “The Frames,” Once tells the story of a street musician and a Czech immigrant during an eventful week as they write, rehearse and record songs that reveal their unique love story. Fox purchased the film at Sundance this year. Check out the new trailer after the jump.

I don’t want to sound like i hate love or something, but what is the appeal of this movie? So many great reviews and everyone is telling me to see it even though I’d never really heard of it before. And come to find out it’s just a love story. I don’t even like love stories that much, so what’s the appeal here? The music? Fill me in please.
