We knew this would happen when Sony decided to release the film early in the eastern countries. Spider-Man 3 has already been bootlegged, and is being sold on Beijing streets almost two weeks before it opens in the United States. The disc is being sold for $1, and features Spider-Man in his black suit. According to THR, there is even a warning on the back, printed in Chinese, against pirating the product. Now that’s funny. People in the know say the discs are already in New York City, although we nobody has reportedly seen them as of yet. So expect the film to show up on bit torrent sites sometime this week. This is sad, because Spider-Man 3 is a movie that should be seen on the big screen. Hollywood needs to find an answer to this problem very soon.

You’ll ever be able the stop piracy completely. But if studios want to stop the spread of bootlegs and torrents before the movie even opens why do they continue to relase them weeks apart in different countries. Seems like common sense to me.

What a load of nonsense. Its totally reasonable for pirating to continue until costs go down. Thats the only cure. Copyright is not a concept asians understand, and I as a successful record producer hope they never do. I’m tired of ripping off the public.

If they would just release the movie everywhere at the same time and not make other countries wait for it people would not want to bootleg it as much. Because then we would not have to wait for it to come to theaters when others are able
to watch it in there homes with the original dvd. Why do people even pay 8
dollars or more to see it when you can get it burnt or wait and just pay an extra
5- 10 dollors and own it when it comes out.

Piracy will never die
