I’ve always said that anything in Asian script (Japanese/Chinese) automatically looks ten times cooler. Our friends at FilmIck have posted a photo of a Japanese Chinese Spider-Man 3 billboard, seen above, which is somewhat similar to the recent bus billboards in the states. Click on the image for a better look. Spider-Man 3 hits theaters on May 4th in the States.

I think that’s Chinese dude. So far, the only posters for Spiderman 3 in Japan have shown the title as “スパイダーマン†in phonetic katakana.
I could be wrong, though.

Ray,I think you are absolutely right. In fact,Japanese name Spider-man as スパイダーマン.In China Taiwan ,It is 蜘蛛人.And in China mainland it isèœ˜è››ä¾ .

actually the Kanji that is on that poster is the same in chinese or japanese, and they mean the
exact same things, they are just pronounced differently. Japan brought those ancient chinese
symbols over from China in ancient times, but it is true that the Japanese would not likely
use them in that manner because the have an entire alphabet (Katakana) specifically for borrowed
words such as spiderman, in referance to a foreign film.
