Did You Know: Dreamgirls star and Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson auditioned for Quentin Tarantino Death Proof segment of the Grindhouse exploitation double feature.
“Jennifer auditioned for my movie GRINDHOUSE, and it didn’t work out. But I love her,” admits Tarantino.
I bet Tarantino is regretting his casting decision now. I’m guessing that Hudson was probably gunning for the role that eventually went to either Rosario Dawson or Tracie Thoms.

not sure what there is to regret. the girl has made one movie, i can say that again. ONE movie. i’d ipck rosario or tracie over the idol girl on any given day.

In the script there’s a girl by the name of Jungle Julia who in the beginning is described as having a “big ass” who walks around in panties and well obviously Jennifer Hudson wouldn’t have worked out because no one wants to see that.

Just for the record Jennifer Hudson never turned down a $3 million dollar offer because of nudity, she was never even offered $3 million dollars, that was a rumor which she denied, please have your information right before you call someone a hypocrit.

I know its a litle late for commenting but its amazing the comments about her making just one movie. Whether or not she was cast in 3 or 33, you can only make one @ a time. Since the (girl) career started 2 years ago, she has been extremely busy with other scripts, doing talk shows etc. We may not see her in anything as of yet, but she’s going to do her thing. You do have a choice as to whether or not to watch anything she’s in, but grow up and give her a chance. What are you doing with your life that you dislike her so? I’m sure she’s counting the milions she does have.
