This thing has been traveling around the internet fast the last couple days. Behind the scenes footage from the making of I Heart Huckabees was leaked online showing director David O. Russell going completely nuts on actress Lilly Tomlin. Be warned, the clip features a lot of strong language. This is classic stuff.
Russell is notorious for being difficult on the set. In 1999, Russell and George Clooney nearly had a fistfight on the set of Three Kings. Not long after, an altercation occurred at a Hollywood party between Russell and director Christopher Nolan.

Ok, where are the first 2 clips of Lily Tomlin going completely nuts? I totally take David Russel’s side in this. The first two clips show Lily Tomlin just cussing David Russel out non-stop. A man can take only so much of that shrill voice, especially when he’s trying to help her.
Also, George Clooney is an overated arrogant douche. I would have gotten into a fist fight with him. His only quality work was in Return of the Killer Tomatoes, everything since has just been media hyped junk.
As far as the Christopher Nolan altercation, I dont know anything about that. But Batman rules.

Jeez, Russeell is such a prick, what a complete primadonna asswipe - his films are like crap anyway and there he is going off like he is some pale immitation of Orson Welles - yeah, right - in his wildest dreams. He looks like a complete dick and he acts like one too. Way to go, next week….try that stuff on someone that might cave your head in.

I went to high school with David and even back then - he was a complete, self-absorbed, mean-spirited a - hole. Just goes to show you that people don’t change. I feel sorry for the people close to him for he most likely acts out on them in the same, childish, mean-spritied way.

A long time ago, while doing a college internship, David and I shared an apartment in Washington, D.C. I don’t remember him once getting angry at me or anyone else. I remember him not only as a very good friend, but because of his boundless energy and curiosity, as the perfect person to spend time with in Washington… discovering and learning about the world around us.
