While she’s not avoiding stalker fans at her British school, Harry Potter star Emma Watson is considering leaving the Harry Potter series. Please Emma, say it isn’t so.
The News of the World newspaper is claiming that the actress who played Hermione Granger in the series has supposedly turned down a new £2 million-per-movie offer for the final two films.
“Emma doesn’t want to do it any more,” co-star Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) explains. “She’s tired of being known as ‘that girl from Harry Potter’. Daniel and I are distant from her now. We don’t text or talk to her when we are not filming.”
But Warner Bros isn’t giving up hope yet:
“We’re extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven.”
If she doesn’t want to be referred to as “that kid from Harry Potter,” it’s probably too late for that. I believe she’ll eventually sign on, after Warner ups her offer. I think of it like the Sopronos. They knew this season would be the last, so all the big names held out for bigger money (and rightfully so). I’m betting this is just a smart business move from Watson.

i think she doesnt want to be invovlved in things like……you know……the part time love stories in the movies,being girlfriend of Ron in part 7,for instance.

She will be there as soon as thay pay her a decent wage. $2 million a film is cheap given the billion the last two movies will make in box office.

If she quits I am going to be so mad I think she not to bad looking and that’s one of the reasons I went to go see the Harry Potter Films because without her raidant smile on the screen it won’t be the same. Another reason I went was to see how close the movies are to the books.

If Emma doesn’t finish the films i know for a fact they will not be as good. Emma has a huge part as being Hermoine. In my personal opinion I think she is the biggest part of Harry Potter and w/o her it would not be the same.
