Okay, we know - this isn’t exactly movie news. But E!’s Kristin Veitch is reporting that Veronica Mars won’t return for a fourth season. And this isn’t one of those stupid rumors. Word stems for series creator Rob Thomas. This is horrible news. The final five episodes of season three will air in April-May.
Update: The Hollywood Reporter claims that IF the series were to return for a fourth season in Fall 2007, it might be a much, MUCH different show:
“an idea to fast-forward a couple of years and have Mars studying at the FBI Academy. (As a freshman at Hearst College, Mars (Kristen Bell) has been taking criminology classes and been looking to do an internship at the FBI.)”
Show creator Rob Thomas is filming a trailer for the alternative fourth season.
I’m not sure what to think about the fast forward idea, but it has to be better than no Veronica at all, right?

More Veronica Mars!! I love the fast-forwarding idea… I mean, if they could keep Chiris Lowell on too that would be perfection… Don’t cancel it!!!

I absolutely love Veronica Mars. I guess it’d be okay if they fastforwarded it, I mean, I really don’t want it to change. But if they take Logan off of the show, and Wallace and her dad, it would be pointless. I looooooooooooooooove V-Mars. This is the worst news EVER!

Season 3 had a rather stupid ending, as far as i am concerned the
Producer of Veronica Mars is a Moron there are millions of people who
watch Veronica Mars on the CW & download it to watch it. Me i’ve
bought all 2 seasons & i am very dissappointed that they have
cancelled the best show ever. Veronica Mars could at least had
another season 2 finish it off 4 good. what About Logan & Veronica
getting back together they were really good together & what about
Duncan Kane with the baby & why can’t they make a final season.
Why cancel a show that people all over the world enjoy watching only to
replace it with some stupid programme with Nudity, bad language, etc..
Veronica Mars should at least have a season 4 like The O.C. TO: Kisten
Bell (Veronica Mars) you played well in all the season but i just don’t
understand why you want to end this show. TO The Producers of Veronica
Mars, YOU will never be able to make another programe as wonderful &
popular as Veronica Mars she is & will alwasy be the BEST Show on the CW.
