Daniel Radcliffe has signed on for the final two films in the Harry Potter movie series.
For years now, people have wondered if the Harry Potter child actors would remain with the series to the bitter end. Some have even been more vocal about not wanting to play the same roles into their early 20’s. Radcliffe, now 17, will begin shooting Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (the sixth book in the series) in September.
Daniel will also return for the eventual (but yet-to-be-announced) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The seventh and final book will be published on July 21st 2007.
It’s good to see that Danny is coming back. Now what about Emma?

I really don’t think he should be in the last 2 films because his acting is awful and suckish he has no freaken life! i also think his head is getting really really REALLY big for real like a water melon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jefery and Laura you are both wrong. If Daniel has a big head like water meolas You two have said (Ofcourse he doesn’t have a big head) doesn’t mean he mustn’t be in the last two films. And about his acting, he acts great and all here in Egypt loves all of his movies and waiting for his last three movis(5,6,7) patiently. And about his life if Voldemort haven’t killed his Mum and Dad he wouldn’t have a life like that and he his life in Hogowrts is so great in with his friends Ron, Hermione,……etc. Isn’t that right?
Daniel, Emma, You are sooooooooooo great in acting. I saw all of you films from 1 till 4 I haven’t seen 5 yet because I hasn’t been published in Egypt’s cinema’s and when it does I’ll see it and comment about.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about , because i haven’t met him and I’m guessing neither have you,and relly all that should matter is that (1) he is a good actor and (2) he is the same actor as the other ones . Personally, I would find it a little weird if there were different actors. I hope everyone else stays too.

I think he sucks period. Too old for the film. In harry potter I,II,III It was ok.
But in Harry potter IV he totally looks too old for the film.

Acting is important. As the reader of so far six of the HP books, I certainly think more of the storytelling, the integrity of the translation to movies. Screen play, movie adaptation being not easy, changing actors would most definitely be a big mistake. Please focus on how you direct, produce (sometimes making a good movie needs more time). I have a feeling that years from now. Perhaps 10 years later when another production house wanna remake the Harry Potter movies, they should think more of the integrity of the storytelling and most importantly role casting of ALL the main characters. Dumbledore and Voldemort being equally if not more important than Harry Potter at different stages of the story.
To Daniel, Rupert, Emma, Rex Harris, Gary Oldman(Sirius), Snape(Alan), Lupin, Draco, Hagrid, all the Hogswarts staffs, the Weasleys, Dudley and all the muggles etc. Thumbs up! Voldemort, who I haven’t been able to say much so far. I hope ‘Order’ could prove Voldemort’s role more convincing than before.
Just my comment. I hope I have spoken for many like me who has read not only once but many times, all the Harry Potter books. Well done with the art direction. Although digital technology has been mostly used and recognised up to nowadyas standard. Acceptable but not exceptionally brilliant.
Perhaps reading will always be my favorite and preferable media.
I have experienced going to Harry Potter movies with friends who havent read the story. Of course they were not as excited as I was and they found the movie jumpy and even boring.
My point is the integrity of the storytelling being equally if not more important than the acting.
Thanks for letting me voice my opinion on the subject matter.

He is perfect for the part. He has done great in EVERY one of the films. He is growing into the part like any child would. He is actually only 2 years ahead of what he plays. Give me a break! People do it every day. That is what acting is all about!!!

In my personal opinon Daniel Radcliff SUCKS period but now that I have gotten use to him playing Harry Potter it will be very different if he wasn’t on the last Harry Potter and P.S. you a good person Daniel but your acting SUCKS get some acting lessons!

Those of you who would presume that they could do a better job as Harry, or even ELMER FUDD, are goons. Danny is a very talented actor. I mean hell, how many people can pretend to be in love with a horse??? lol. Not to mention the fact that
HE brought Harry to life. He IS harry. He has been in this role since he was a child. What was your greatest accomplishment as a child?? This was directed at the big-mouths on here.

all i have to say is it would be weird if they bailed, soo good for him for staying, as for me i have decied to wait to read the 7th book until after i see half-blood prince, soooo yeah, i cant judge, other than that he plays the part well, and so do the other characters they all just fit, soo any of them leaving would be a serious blow to the series cause those would be some damn big shoes to fill if you ask me….. So for those of you that think he sucks one word……..DEAL……..cause he aint leaving

Hey yall this is an important issue so I just want to say that if Daniel and all the other cast didn’t play in the next movies it would be totally awkward. and second DANIEL IS NOT HOT! but Rupert is :)!!!!!! Anyone whos says differently is stupid HARRY POTTER ROX, and the books will always be better than the movies anyways :)!

I’m so glad they are not going to switch the charactors. It was pretty weird when they had to replace the guy who played dumbledore. Even though some people do not like dan radcliffe it is pretty had to think of anyone better to play the part since he has played the part from the first movie to the fifth. I can’t wait till the other movies come out. I have heard rumors that they are going to spilt the last movie into two seperate ones so they don’t have to leave so much stuff out as the other movies.

I personally hate the movies. The actors are great, really, but they can’t help it if the movie stinks period. They did their best anyway. ^ ^
I am a rabid Harry Potter fan, and I have all seven books, read most of them in two days (mostly because I didn’t sleep the entire forty-eight hours until I finished the books). I love the books. They are the best. But the movies stink. My point of view is from someone who has read all the books first, then watched the movies to them. I just can’t love a chopped up book. So why would they do that in the movies? They cut out so many parts, changed around so many things, that’s barely the same story anymore. I guess that’s why they always put in the movie credits, “Based on the book.” Because they barely even come close to the books.
Just my opinion, hate it or leave it.

Daniel Radcliffe is a great Harry potter and even though he might be a bit too big for the role, he should keep playing Harry Potter. i mean, if someone else were to suddenly take his part , the whole world would go into an emotional trauma and also wouldn’t it be a wee bit confusing?
