It was scheduled for theatrical release on June 10, 2011, but then something happened. Newt and The Bear and the Bow are to be released in 2011, and Cars 2 in 2012, so Monsters, Inc. 2 may be released sometime in the mid-2010s, or whenever an exact date is scheduled. Although it’s nothing more than concept work, it does look quite impressive and really gives an idea of the scale they’re shooting for.
