Hello

I can't be bothered with anything these days, but shrug. I just don't have anything to say recently.

I thought the 79th Academy Awards Show was one of the worst as far as entertainment goes. Whoever thought of this particular format, needs to go back to the drawing board. It was dull, extremely slow and I might add the Host, Ellen Degeneres, whom I like, did not keep the show going at a lively pace. There were some funny moments (very few and Seinfeld had the most), was very disappointing. No big production numbers, slow, slow and slower. When the Italian composer came up to get his award, have sub-titles moving right along with what he was saying and not Clint Eastwood trying to deliver the speech (without his glasses)! What was that about. It sounded like a telephone conversation from Europe, where there is this 1-2 second delay. And who was that person backstage everytime someone won...he spoke about who's going to win next?? All I can say, is that there was no continuity, no real feeling for this big night. Things need to be "popping" at a better speed with more genuine laughter, live brought into it...I'll watch the movies that I want to watch in the future, but will not watch the Oscar Show unless I they have a better format and better writers and maybe a better host.

We do both news and opinion (hence reviews). Plus most blogs are basically opinionated news posts.

Gotta disagree with you on a few of these.
I didn't think Ellen was bad. She tried. The sound effects choir and interpretive dancers were really cool - I think they were trying to draw in the regular people.

And have you seen Das Leben der Anderen?
I mean, I agree with you, but "robbed" is harsh.
I thought this was a news blog...
