Okay, so we’ve never run a poll before, and we’re unsure how many of you will participate. But we want to know what movie the /Film readers believe will win Best Picture at the 2007 Academy Awards. Please choose below:
We will post the results on Oscar Sunday. Also if you want, write a comment below on why your movie should win. Also take a look at my Top 10 Movies of 2006 posting to see what I thought. Ironicly, three out of the five movies appeared on said list.

“The Ten Commandments” should have won the best picture of the year award for 1956. How “Around the World in 80 Days” won is beyond me.
Of course, Susan Hayward should have won the coveted Oscar for “I’ll Cry Tomorrow.” Anna Magnani was good in “The Rose Tattoo” but not in the same class as Hayward. Magnani should have won for “Wild is the Wind” in 1957 but Oscar voters liked Joanne Woodward’s “3 Faces of Eve.” When Hayward won for “I Want to Live!” in 1958, the award should have gone to either Shirley MacLaine (”Some Came Running”) or Deborah Kerr for “Separate Tables.”
How did Gloria Grahame ever win for “The Bad and the Beautiful” in 1952. That supporting Oscar should have gone to Thelma Ritter, “With A Song in My Heart,” or possibly Colette Marchand’s “Moulin Rouge.”
Anne Revere winning for “National Velvet” was another joke. Joan Loring was far superior, as the tramp Bessie, in “The Corn is Green.” How can I forget Ann Blyth, as the evil daughter, in “Mildred Pierce?”
While Grace Kelly was good in “The Country Girl,” that Oscar belonged to Judy Garland for “A Star is Born.”
Anne Revere should have tied Celeste Holm in the supporting category for “Gentleman’s Agreement.” How could Oscar voters say that Holm was better than Miss Revere.
