I hope there is "The Hills Have Eyes 3" the second one was amazing!

The 1st movie was better than the 2nd one. I was hoping that they would start
off where the first one ended. I hope the 3rd one is better.

you... they arent that expensive, but what is the motive of the average business man... make as much money as possible by spending the LEAST amount possible. even tho they might spend thousands of dollars perfecting the movie, that still doesnt give it a 100% chance to sell scores more than its rushed job. most dont want to make movies past the first, but since it was so popular, like you said, strike while the iron is still hot.

I'd just like to say the Hills Have Eyes 2 was INCREDIBLE. And secondly, as a reply to "Jeff Miller" who claims that "soilders" wouldn't act like that, I have a few words.

Firstly, learn to spell, it's soldiers.
Secondly, they were not seasoned soldiers. Had they been veterans then sure, they'd be more professional, but it is revealed to you in the beginning of the movie how incompetent they are. So grow up, the movie was good.

the second movie started with a state that a family went to the desert and half
of them were killed, (the first movie).
so from that we can understand they survived, i loved both movies... the twist
where the hunted turned into hunters is what fuels it.

All you idiots who honestly believe that "The Hills Have Eyes 2" was good must have been on an ecstasy trip while they were watching it. Did you not notice how the mutants were rarely shown? They were shown for a few seconds in the very beginning. And then they were shown in, like, the last 20 minutes of the movie. The 2nd movie was nothing like the first one. And as a reply to "Jeff Miller", I couldn't agree with you more. Dumb horror movie with very terrible acting. So, "Chris", I don't know if you are mentally retarded or not, but try and be sober when you watch movies.

I mean come on people the actors and actresses were totally B.S, like anyone could have acted out their roles off the street. Plus they only showed the mutants for only short amount of times what fun was that? Hmmmm..looks pretty much like they will make part 3 the way the ending was made when they get out of mine shaft they've been monitored by someone on a laptop,lol..purely Gay movie! The hills have eyes 3: the beginning. coming march 2009.

I hope that they bring parts one and two two together. Where say one of the characters from the first lost his damn mind and could have left the area, but decided the monsters needed to be stopped. He comes back to the area and camps out and knows the monsters tactics. So he has been killing them left and right, and may be a bit angry that the army has shot at him thinking that he was one of them. So he has a bad tude..Or maybe a she even..you could choose really...Then the survivor from part one hooks up with those from part two and they all team up to kill all them monsters...But then FOX could totally make a sequal to part three because the baby born in the start of part 2 survived because its a mutant..and what we didnt know is that at he almost same time another baby of opposite sex was born in those same hills..They grow up and then in the distant future when mankind is even more advanced, people have to take on the new breed of imbred futuristic freaks with thier giant future weapons and tactics.

i think the 1st one was sooooooo much better than the 2nd one. i wanted to know what happen to the survivers of the 1st one!!!!it was really good but the second one bored me i think you guys should come up with a different ending it ended the same as the first one!!!!! i hope you make a 3rd one but make it more like the 1st one but there needs to be less cussing. i mean really.

Man, the first movie rocked. the second one sucked, because they never explained what happened to the survivors of the first one, and i think it would've been so much better if they tied the movies together. if they ever make a 3rd one though, i'll go see it, because it could redeem the 2nd one. oh and they need to show more of the mutants, and make them look a bit more human like in the first one...sorta

I personally loved the 2006 remake and the sequel. I have totally been turned into one of the biggest hills have eyes fans ever! Anyway, lets get to the point: yes, I strongly recommend that Wes and his son (or Aja, he has really shown what he is capable of! But really, either one, I don't care, both are very creative) make a 3rd one. The comments about tying the 1st and 2nd with the 3rd are good ideas, but I bet they're going to make it based upon the graphic novel that is out right now called: the Hills Have Eyes: the Begging. The book just tells where the mutants you see in the movies came from. Either way, It'll be very exciting for me, (I'm a COLOSSAL fan of the movies, as I said before). My last words are a little off topic, but who's with me that they should make a Hills Have Eyes video game!? How awesome would that be!?

it was obvious it wasnt anyone from the first one because at the begining of the secind one it said something bout how an american family went on vacation and by the next morning half were dead, sooo the people from the first are alive and that was some random girl that got caught. soo my opinion is that if they made a 3rd i would see it but the 1st was amazing, but the 2nd sucked. and i want to get some answers on the ending if bith films

I'm not sure who the woman was at the start of the second one. The way I see it, is there are 2 explanations: She was probably nobody, just being used for a gruesome opening scene so you know what to expect the rest of the movie. OR, she could have been the woman survivor at the end of the 2006 remake. Even though she didn't quite look like her, maybe it had been a few years. Now, that leaves us to ask: If that was the woman from the 2006 remake, then why didn't they show the other 2 that survived, and the baby. Puzzling, isn't it?

it does show what hapeen to the TEENAGE girl in the second at the begging when she gave birth. but by tellling from what they said in the second one about they use women for livestock and kill the men.

and it does show that she got pregnate by when she got raped

The 2nd one lacked compared to the 1st and to clarify to the soldier aspect, Total BS! As an ex-Army Ranger I can say that there would be no women in a combat mos or in a training atmosphere where it was teaching/preparing you for one, nor would any "guard" unit have such a small team, nor would they say "sir" to a ssg or sfc or for that matter any sgt. I can see them acting dumb and freaking out though. The mutants were nearly as well done as in the 1st and the gore was lacking, especially since they marketed it as being much worse than the 1st. The rape scene was much better in the first and was much harder to watch than in this one. Bottom line, next time don't put crappy guardsman in a combat movie or put women in a combat role and don't market more gore than the 1st if there isn't and if all of this get's fixed than I'd be down for a third.

To anyone who knows a shread of anything about story-telling, pacing, or tension: this movie fails on all counts. The soldiers are characterized so badly that it's impossible to feel any sympathy whatsoever. Consider this in contrast to the family in the remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" where you could have immediate sympathy and where the plot moved with steadily increasing tension (such as when the boy starts to figure out what's going on when Beauty, the dog, is killed).

The use of soldiers, National Guard or otherwise, was useless because even with their their military training and automatic weapons, they fared no better than the family in the first film and, in fact, fared worse in some ways. They may just as well have had some other innocent family playing the victims. The fact that you had soldiers in this film ended up making no difference at all.

To me this film is simply exploitation violence and thus any sort of narrative or story takes a backseat, making the film, in my opinion, useless. (Again, consider how this was *not* the case with the first film, which did a great job of building up your sympathy for the family who was being attacked by showing how the violence against them steadily escalated.) The only "plot points" this movie has are gory killings.

Also, for those debating, according to Wes Craven, the woman at the beginning with the baby has nothing to do with anyone from the first film. Originally Brenda (the surviving female from the first) was going to be one of the people who joined the National Guard and was sent back to the same area. But that idea was nixed. The woman at the beginning is just backstory to show one aspect of how the mutants live and perhaps increase their numbers.

The hills have eyes 2 was in my opinion not as good as the 1st.

prob. #1. 2/3 of the movie was dark and i couldn't tell what was going on half the time.

prob.#2. The Main reason we all watch The Hills Have Eyes, is for the mutants. Didn't see much of them.

prob #3. Didn't scare the shit out of me like the first one did.

prob #4. When some of the soldiers were talking before they entered the cave, the background behind them looked so fake it made me want to turn of the film.

Favorite parts:
1. When the mutant lifts up that guy and chops off his arm.
2. When the mutant slid into the hole on his stomach near the start of the film.
3. Fuckin pic axes!

I was definetely disappointed when I first saw the preview to The Hills Have Eyes 2. I really enjoyed the plot with the Carter family and hope to see them again in the near time future. In the mean time the people who keep dissing The Hills Have Eyes 2, .. C'mon, it was still pretty enjoyable. And besides not like you can direct and write a Horror/Thriller box office movie.

Well. the second one was OK but, the first one was alot cooler and scarier, the second one was mostly really gory. I wish that the movie had explained what happened to the remaining family members from the first one. But, I'm really excited to hear that there will be a 3rd movie. Ibet it will be AWESOME!

well i thought the 2nd film was good but i really wanted it to carry on from the first film cause the we get 2 see what happened to the carter family but neva mind and i hope that the carter family survivors are in the 3rd movie

Yo, this movie was the greastest movie in the world. the ending could do a lot better in both the first and the second one. the rapin parts are kinda stupid as well. there should be more fighting i like the parts where the human soliders go into the mines and mess everyone up. however the endings were exactly the same. the writing that comes up shows that the army never goes after the mutants and that the army doesnt realize anything about sector 16.

if there is a hills have eyes 3 it will be a prequel to show how the miners wer deformed into mutants. and should of started the 2nd movie from the first. the 2nd movie wasnt bad but not brilliant.
