Pirates of the Caribbean series screenwriter Terry Rossio admits that a fourth film may be in the works, like it or not.
“It’s like the fourth Indiana Jones picture - there are forces in play to make it happen, and forces in play to make it not happen,” admitted Rossio. “I think we will try to write a screenplay.”
Although the Shrek scribe admits it won’t be easy: “I can’t say if we’ll be able to solve the challenge of making a good fourth film, or if our screenplay will be enough to get a film made.”
Let’s hope it doesn’t happen. If the second film is any indication, I don’t think they have a quality fourth movie in them. And when the screenwriters are doubtful (knowing full well there is a huge payday to be had) it’s a very bad sign.

I hope they make a 4th Pirates. I luv Johnny Depp, he so hot as Captain Jack Sparrow. The whole Pirates series RULEZ!!!

If the second film is any indication..? Try all three. Not managing to be anything of substance *or* just enjoyable mindless fun, how these blander-than-bland films have achieved such popularity astounds me.

i am 17 years old i am not some big movie rater or anything of the such i am just a voice for all kids my age and under. What i am here to say is that every time a new pirates of the caribbean came out, Me and all of my friends my age and under would say i cant wait to see the new one.so i ask you and the creaters of this movie to find it in your hearts for all the kids to please make another movie. it is what makes some kids day out of mindless fun and action. to some of the question raised, IT WOULD NOT BE THE SAME IF IT IS NOT THE ORINGAL CHARATERS. johnny,orlando,kiona and so now is what makes the parts. SO as i said before hear out us kids and please make another movie. THANK YOU FOR LISTEN, and please make the right disition. Thank you again for listening and i hope my vioce is heard.

Kalid, it sounds like maybe you need to pull your head out of the sand and realize that these movies have been money making machines. Regardless of what your dumb opinion is, they will go ahead and make the movie. You don’t have to see it if you don’t want to, so don’t complain when it rakes in the big bucks.

I hope there is a fourth film, if people dont like it dont watch it…i bet the fan base is HUGE for ‘POTC’, money making or not it is well due for another film because there are none like it out… and probably never will be
