Feast Trilogy?

Feast

The rental/dvd sales of Dimension Films’ Feast are so good that talks have begun to create not one but two sequels.

Feast screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunston are the ones doing all the talking, claiming that TWC wants to turn the film into a trilogy.

The logic of studio executives baffles me. They actually believe that the popularity of Feast has something to do with the film’s concept, rather than the television show that birthed the hype. Feast is the first movie spawned from Project Greenlight which actually had viewers interested, willing to purchase a ticket or DVD. Do The Weinsteins actually believe that the film could be turned into a franchise without a television show to back it up? As someone that very much enjoyed Feast, call me doubtful.

  • Well, I for one, think it's a terrific idea. Why stop at a trilogy? Why not keep changing the location? The first one took place in a diner, right? The second one should take place on a train, the third one on a plane, the fourth on a ship, and the fifth one on a earth-moon shuttle. Ok, we've seen those movies before (more or less), but what's old is new again (just switch out the actors and keep the "Feast" monsters), so why not give it a try?

I hope you realize I'm kidding.
